Happy Monday!
Remember when the World Cup came to Pasadena? I only now appreciate what a huge, huge deal that was. Daddy, how old was your love affair with soccer at that point?
THat was a fabulous time. 1994. Brigham was 14, Naomi 16, Gabrielle 18, Rosalynde 20, and Benjamin 7. Brigham, Benjamin and i rode our bicycles down to the Robe Bowl for the U.S. v Columbia match. we sat in the north end, about 4 rows up from the field, right behind the goal. we saw two of the three goals scored right in front of us. it was a really great time. who is in the picture?
So how is it that I have ZERO recollection of the World Cup being at the Rose Bowl and of Daddy taking some of you to a game??? A repressed memory from my not-so-secret irritation at the time Daddy devotes to soccer? Do you think? :) Glad to report that soccer and I have reached an amicable truce :)Most of the time... just not on Sundays.
