Sisters, sisters

Look at these devoted sisters! Eva, I remember trying to hold you on my lap until you were probably 13 or so. You have always been and will always be our adored little sister. And Rachel, no wonder you're a natural mother. You clearly knew the basics of proper baby holding from an early age :).

...even a pair of big ol' 80s sunglasses can't disguise her beautiful figure and gorgeous hair. I need to wear sunglasses, I really do. I'm going to be the only Frandsen with skin and retinal cancer before the age of 50.

Welcome, July!!!

This picture captures a lot about July for me: our occasional foreign-exchange student, babies in the backpack, Daddy's hats (remember when he let me wear his hat at Yellowstone and I let it blow off my head and down a waterfall? Sorry about that, Daddy...), hikes, dirt, heat, water. Dave is off to Scout Camp this week, so he'll be getting the dirt, heat, and hikes, while I get the water (girls and I are going to the water park TWICE this week!) and the babies in the backpack. I definitely get the better end of the deal.

We're (getting close-ish to) entering our summer birthday season, and I just wanted to kick-off July with a picture of our beautiful mother and her first summertime baby.

Hiking Season

This time of year always makes me itch to jump in a car, drive for 14 hours, drink Tang in the morning, and go for a 13-mile hike. Mama and Daddy, thank you for the wonderful memories of so many great summer trips.
