Mama always looked cute, as did you girls. mama made the maternity dress, i believe. how many of you remember the old blue volkwagen? it ended up at GRandpa Hansen's place in Benson, painted red. i know that Naomi drove it a bit. i loved the flowers that mama planted at Harmony place.
Ha! I also remember the ceiling of that bug--didn't it have a pattern of tiny pin-prick holes? And was it maybe yellowish? The ceiling of the bug must have been much closer to us little kids than the ceilings of later cars. I also half-way learned to drive stick on that bug--Brigham, remember trying to coach me up and down those hills around Grandpa's house?
I loved our Harmony Place home - I always felt that the name of the street of our very first home was a very good omen for our family, and I think (overall, for the most part...) it was!
