One of these days, I'd like to hear the full story of the blacktop. Was it there when we bought the house? Did Daddy put it in? Did he build the handball court? I have so many great memories of that backyard... And speaking of memories--what's the story of those red dresses?

ReplyDeletethe sport court was already in place when we bought the house. that was one of the charms. i did paint the lines on the black top. i also made the white plywood wall that i used for tennis practice and you kids used to bounce balls against.

Those red dresses were in one of those random charity boxes we would find on our porch from time to time... You girls LOVED them and looked so cute in them! Yes, little girls often wore long dresses to Church back then :)
