I loved coming across wildlife on our camping trips. Somehow even chipmunks and snails (not to mention elk or moose!) were more exotic out in the trees. As a side note, Rosalynde and Gabrielle--do you remember those Hawaiian-print shorts? I sure do. Where did we get them?
We made those cool shorts!! They were called "jams" - the ever-so-fashionable and modest Mormon shorts the YW sewed every summer to wear at Girls Camp. I made several pairs for my daughters while I was at it :)
ReplyDeletei believe we are in Yellowstone Park, having communion with a Moose. this was probably the summer of 1987, just before we moved into our new house where we live now. benjamin was just a babe in arms.
