Success!!!
Now this is what I'm talking about... Two hours driving + two hours choosing + numerous arguments in the car + numerous arguments in the lot = the perfect tree.
As I decorated our perfectly shaped Christmas tree, made perfect by skilled trimming, I grieved a little bit for imperfect Christmas trees and the loss of the search for the perfect tree that, yes, caused some contention but also such hope and excitement. No one even needs to look at the trees in the Home Depot lot anymore, because they are all perfectly shaped. It took us all of 3 minutes to find our tree this year... and I was just a little sad!

ReplyDeleteBut surely Daddy still managed to take 45 minutes to rig it up to stand perfectly straight with some fish tackle and counter weights, right? :)
